This programming was originally designed as a series of community-oriented experiential learning sessions intended to combat the disregard for nature in and of cities. It was later adapted for public librarians in partnership with the PLIX team at MIT. The ultimate objective of this series is to offer learners of all ages to explore new forms of design thinking, employing a systems-level, nature-conscious, and playful approach in order to further understand local urban ecology. You can read more about the project’s inspirations and aims here.
We are currently looking to partner with librarians to run these activities in their libraries! Please reach out to us (Email us at plix[at]media.mit.edu) to get started with facilitation training!
In the mean time, contribute to our Urban Ecology Playlist!
